Altanza, Rioja Crianza 2022

Intense red colour with fresh, healthy fruit aromas and a hint of oak. Well rounded on the palate, this aromatic red has ripe concentration, with notes of black cherry, blackberry, liquorice and tobacco. The firm tannins fade into a long, spicy finish. The wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks before a year in French oak barrels, and the proportion of new oak is generally about 15%, allowing the quality of the fruit to come through.

Good with all sorts of food, this is a superb match for barbecues, roasts and grills, tapas and firm cheeses.
