Resting Rose Statue

The Resting Rose Statue is a reclining figure cast in aluminium with a polished Chrome finish. Its elongated 63.7cm form sits low across consoles, shelves or coffee tables, working alongside books, trays and other collected objects rather than standing alone. The chrome surface reflects light and nearby colours, giving it a more reflective look than a matte or painted finish. As a figurative sculpture, it introduces a human form into a room otherwise furnished with straight lines. Being a solid cast piece rather than a hollow or delicate material, it holds its position well once placed on a surface.
